卡尔•罗杰斯（1902—1987），美国著名心理学家、人本主义心理学的理论家和发起者、心理治疗家，被誉为“人本主义心理学之父”。他从事心理咨询和治疗的实践与研究，并因“以当事人为中心”的心理治疗方法而驰名。他曾当选为美国心理学会主席，也曾担任临床和变态心理学分会主席，1956年获美国心理学会颁发的杰出科学贡献奖。
