View From Above

Born in 1968, the young German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans has created an impressive list of accomplishments, most important of which is the designation of being the first German-born artist, and first photographer, ever to be awarded Britain's prestigious Turner Prize. This new, substantial monograph presents a wide variety of Tillmans' work, particularly the many unpublished, abstract pieces including photograms, aerial cityscapes, and works that have been highly manipulated during the printing process.
