Creativity is about capturing those moments that make life worth living. Drawing on 100 interviews with exceptional people, from biologists and physicists to politicians and business leaders, poets and artists, as well as his 30 years of research on the subject, Csikszentmihalyi uses his famous theory to explore the creative process. He discusses such ideas as why creative individuals are often seen as selfish and arrogant, and why the tortured genius is largely a myth. Most important, he clearly explains why creativity needs to be cultivated and is necessary for the future of our country, if not the world.

米哈里•希斯赞特米哈伊
"心流"理论提出者、积极心理学奠基人、造力大师。美国心理学会前主席马丁•塞利格曼评价他为"世界上最伟大的积极心理学研究者"。
1970年至1999年担任芝加哥大学心理学系主任，1999年至今任教于美国加州克莱蒙特大学德鲁克管理学院。
他的著作包括《创造力》、《心流》和《自我的进化》等世界级畅销书，对积极心理学的发展产生了重大影响。他在专业期刊上发表了200多篇论文，并为《纽约时报》、《纽约客》、《大西洋月刊》撰写了多篇文章。
