Leo Steinberg's classic "Other Criteria" comprises eighteen essays on topics ranging from "Contemporary Art and the Plight of Its Public" and the "flat-bed picture plane" to reflections on Picasso, Rauschenberg, Rodin, de Kooning, Pollock, Guston, and Jasper Johns. The last, which Francine du Plessix Gray called "a tour de force of critical method," is widely regarded as the most eye-opening analysis of Johns' work ever written. This edition includes a new preface and a handful of additional illustrations.

列奥•施坦伯格（Leo Steinberg，1920-2011），美国著名文艺复兴艺术史专家，20世纪最杰出的艺术批评家之一。著有《文艺复兴艺术及现代健忘中的基督的性征》、《米开朗琪罗最后的绘画》、《莱奥纳多永远的最后晚餐》、《遭遇劳申伯格》、《另类准则》等。鉴于他对美国艺术世界的巨大影响力，与克莱门特•格林伯格（Clement Greenberg）、哈洛德•罗森伯格（Harold Rosenberg）一道，被誉为美国“文化三伯格（三山）”。
沈语冰，浙江大学教授、博士生导师，主要研究方向是西方现代美学、现代艺术史与观念史，著有《20世纪艺术批评》，并获教育部中国高校人文社会科学研究优秀成果二等奖。译有罗杰•弗莱《塞尚及其画风的发展》、格林伯格《艺术与文化》等。主编“艺术与观念译丛”、“艺术理论与批评译丛”、“艺术学经典文献导读书系”、“艺术学学科导论书系”等。
刘凡，艺术学博士，副教授，现任教于武汉纺织大学。出版有《消失的建筑》，与人合译《另类准则》《自我与图像》等。曾参加英国大使馆和威尔士艺术国际主办的《寻找红龙》英国驻地交流项目，影像作品入选美、德、西、捷等国短片节。
谷光曙，现任教于武汉纺织大学，与人合译《另类准则》《自我与图像》等。
