Postmodernism has been a buzzword in contemporary society for the last decade. But how can it be defined? In this Very Short Introduction Christopher Butler challenges and explores the key ideas of postmodernists, and their engagement with theory, literature, the visual arts, film, architecture, and music. 朱刚，南京大学外国语学院博士生导师、教授，全国美国文学研究会秘书长，研究方向为英美文学及西方文论，主要成果有《詹明信》(1995)、《萨伊德》(1997)、Text，Reader,and the Nature of Literary Reading(1998)、Twentieth Century Western Critical Theories(2001)、《二十世纪西方文艺文化批评理论》(2002)、《新编美国文学史》(第二卷，2002)和《二十世纪西方文论》(2006)。
秦海花 南京大学外国语学院博士生、南京师范大学金陵女子学院教师，研究方向为英美文学及西方文论，主要成果有“Using role-plays to develop cultural awareness in communication”(2003)、《离经叛道的美国戏剧家托尼·库什纳及其政治剧》(2006)等。
